A bike I built for my wife. As you probably can tell, the theme is black and gold :-)
My wife's second name is Xantippa, but she's known as "Mary X" or just "X".
The bike started out as her son's bright red MTB in 1994. He's grown out of it a long time ago and it has stood unused under our balcony for a decade, slowly getting rustier and dirtier. After a complete stripdown to bare metal and a repaint I had a black frame that I have thrown a smattering of gold anodized stuff on :-)
The only things left of the original bike are the frame and the hubs.
