I believe this is what is now known as a Fuso FR-1.
When I bought it, I don't believe there wasn't any "FR-1"
Fuso frames were hot in Colorado Springs in the mid 1980s.
I was working at Tour de France Schwinn Cycles when I got it.
Love this bike more every time I ride it, but my knees can't handle the steeps any more...
Just wish I'd had Dave paint it two-tone blue, instead of the red & grey - as soon as I saw the blue one, I regretted my choice.
I *really* wanted the Campagnolo C-Record gruppo, which had just come out.
But the Delta brakes weren't yet worked out, and that's one of the bits I
really liked the looks of, so I stuck with the "regular" Super Record gruppo.
Columbus S.L. tubing
Columbus S.P. chainstays
Special investment cast lugs & BB shell
Cinelli investment cast fork crown
Cinelli brake bridge & braze ons
Campagnolo dropouts
Blackburn bottle cages
Benotto Cello bar tape
I also still have the original white Specialized bottles
For this bicycle, I also have:
Set of wheels with Mavic GL330 rims (from a Mavic SSC gruppo), Campy SR 32-hole hubs, Aeralpina oval spokes, and Vittoria CX & CG tires
Campagnolo aluminum freewheel
I have a set of Simplex Retrofriction DT shift levers that I want to put on in place of the Campagnolo ones.
