This bike is my latest build and one that will probably stay with me for the duration of my life--as the frame was custom made for me by Bryan Hollingsworth of Royal H Cycles (www.royalhcycles.com), based here in Boston.

I could not be happier with how it turned out and it is an absolute joy to ride. I will be having Bryan make a matching track (un-drilled) fork for this frame sometime in the future.

One of my favorite parts of this frame is the tiny polished stainless "H" that is brazed onto the rear bridge. It was hand cut by Somerville's own Shane Jordan of bostonbiker.org

Another part to note is the custom stamped (with my last name) top-tube protector provided by Nao Tomii, the man behind 3RRR's amazing line of bicycle accessories, check him out at 3rrrproducts.blogspot.com

A bit more about the construction of the frame can be found on my blog (365in2010), have a look:

Beautiful!!

I respect you!!

congratulations...

just saw that this beauty won best overall at belle biciclette! i think its official, my favorite bike on here. wouldn't change a thing (except to make it my size and mine!!).

thanks!

as happy as i was with this build, it has since been changed (upgraded) and isn't the one that won "best overall." ill actually be posting an update very soon...like today maybe.

Excellent

Love your lead shot for this beast. Great contrast and highlights this insane paint job. Nailed the color indeed, especially from afar. It has a touch of the vintage take and a great compliment to the frame's nod to earlier steel heritage, while obviously getting some shots of innovation and personal touch. Very nice. I completely agree on the frame for a lifetime status.

Gorgeous, just gorgeous

Screw carbon fibre frames, this is the way a bikes in heaven are built!

Your frame & color are

Your frame & color are breath taking! And the seat stays & rear brake bridge are absolutely stellar! How do you like the Concor saddle? I have one coming in the mail from Ebay.

Billy

This is an amazing build.

This is an amazing build. Are you running tubulars? How is that on the street?

thanks, glad you like

i have ridden, but do not currently ride the tubulars on the street, it stresses me out haha. i have another wheelset (phils to open pro cd) that I ride on the street.

Agreed!!

Certainly one of the best contemporary (non-carbon) Pistas on Velospace. Excellent choice with the Campy parts. The paint is a perfect nod to those older classic steel frames we all love. Congratulations!!

thanks!

I can thank Brian from Circle A Cycles (Providence, RI) for nailing the paint color on this one. It was a difficult color to describe (one that shifts from a metallic blue to silver depending on light) but I guess the message got across cause he knocked this one out of the park.

Always enjoy seeing your

Always enjoy seeing your builds. This thing is gorgeous... So much detail, and well chosen components!

Classy

Your bike is amazing!

Hands down.

My new favorite bike track bike on Velospace.

What's the tubing material?

a mix of columbus and dedacciai

columbus main triangle and dedacciai stays. i basically just told Bryan how much I weighed and what I wanted to do with it and let him take it from there. based on the couple rides I have taken it out on, he did a great job with tube selection--stiff in all the right places, strong enough for the street but light/fast enough for the track. i really couldn't be more happy with it.

Wow, that's simply stunning!

Wow, that's simply stunning! I tried to get through the gallery on his site, but my eyes kept falling out...
