A garage bike that my LBS sent my way. Set-up originally as a touring bike with Stronglight triple, bar-end shifters, Dura-Ace brakes, levers & long-cage rear derailleurs, I converted it to mostly Campagnolo, except for the original wheels. It took some time finding the French thread-BB. The 3T stem had to be sanded down to 22.0 diameter to fit the fork steerer. This will be my MUT/light trail/leisure ride bike.

Unknown brand...

It could be the Peugeot PX-10

Could well be

Forged Simplex ends, and what look like Nervex lugs.

Yeah, I'd vote for PX-10 too

...or maybe even PY-10; didn't those also have Nervex Pro lugs? Is there a serial number stamped into the bottom bracket shell? You may be able to identify it that way.

My big question is the finish - original or aftermarket? Paint or powdercoat? I have a late '70s Bertin in a similar color, but I have unfortunate rattlecannage to clean off before it's serviceable; if I can get that color in powdercoat, maybe I'll go that way instead.

Did you hold onto any of the Frenchy touring gear?

Didnt all the PX-10's have 700c? I would vote PY-10. It would fit the paint layout too, assuming it's original. The PX-10 had half chromed chain and seat stays in addition to the half chromed fork.
