This was originally a Decathlon Prestige I purchased in 2003 with few kms, based on the Vitus 979 frame with a full 105SC Group, white San Marco Rolls saddle and Wolber GTX2 clincher wheels with 105CS hubs. I replaced many parts, putting a set of very light set of artisanal tubular wheels. The bike is about 8.8kgs including the pedals.

sexy ... !

I really dig that color !!
(But IMHO you shouldn't call this thoroughbred "Decathlon", that sounds a bit cheap for a Vitus 979 - after all 8,8kg is/was *pro* stuff ...!)

979

actually it was a common anodized color for 979 and also 992 frames at that time. Decathlon sold interesting high range models based on these frames for a good price but with good equipments, and they are quite rare to find (the model above this one was a 992 equipped with Dura-Ace). The original weight was about 9.4kgs, which was quite light around the 90's, but I found some special handmade wheels which happen to be very light, even if I don't like to use tubular tires for practical reasons..
