Crank/Chainring

First of all, your bike is absolutely gorgeous.

Is there a particular reason why you decided to bolt the crank on the outside of the chainring? Just to have a little more space or to straighten the chainline?

BB length?

may i know what length is your BB? cause i am having some much problem with my RD2 crank. my chain ring bolts are touching the chainstay. you are mounting your chain ring on the inside spider, how is your clearance to the chainstay?

sugino 68x103. mine comes really close too. I think it was slightly hitting. but now it seems ok.

A Sugino 103 BB should give you a perfect chainline for a standard track hub with the chainring on the outside of the RD crank. Anyway, that setup works perfectly for me. I got it straight from Sheldon himself:
