Badged as Briton Racing Bikes but I imagine this was the shop that resprayed the bike. The lugs, bottom bracket shell and double fork crown would all indicate that it is possibly from the 1960s. Is very light and rides well, angles are not too steep and the bottom bracket is not too high either.

i think i saw you riding this the other day, unless it was someone else? seems a pretty unique bike, like it.

Yeah...

...that would've been me. Only had this a little while but it's a tad too small, nice lug work and all that!

cool you got to hallam?

cool you got to hallam? thats where i saw you outside there neway, who do you ride with in sheffield?

Interesting...

Can we see a close up pic of the rear dropouts? They look weird...

Rear dropouts

They've been 'shortened'. I've seen this a few times; is it to save weight? Surely that would be negligible! Also, the seat stay & chain stay bridges have been scalloped to allow closer clearances; this modification could've been done when the dropouts were cut. I'm thinking about a respray in the summer, I'm also rebuilding the wheels too at some point.
