None

Much can be made of a department store Schwinn if it's captured young.

I bought this one at Target and gradually built this out of it. The ultra stiff steel frame and equally stiff wheels make for a rock solid combination. The Cane Creek brakes, not yet installed at the time the photograph was taken, compleat the deal.

I love the sober dark blue frame. It's a very solid, reliable ride and it's is great for greenway and street cruising around the 5 boroughs. Total weight is about 25 pounds

I'm very proud of this one!

haha this is kinda rad. nice

haha this is kinda rad. nice to have some vision for something shitty as a target schwinn. turned out cool as fuck! looks fun too.

Super cool

ATB I applaud you Summarex, you think out of the box, build and ride what you like, and handle those haters like the pack of assholes they are.I love this bike, and those wheels are cool.I think some people hate Aerospokes because they think it helps them fit in to the "in the box",narrow minded thinking of the non creative ,do what the others do mind set.Keep riding that baby and keep creating cool bikes, the way you like them.

Haters suck

To all the haters on this bike.... This dude has got his priorities straight and rides a bike he likes. what do you care about how much cash he dropped on his wheels? chances are he's out there riding a bike and having fun more than you are so stop hatin.

Bravo

ATBYou hit it on the head.I think these haters are computer chair, couch racers who would rather run down others to make their own sorry ass lives feel better. How you feel about others is a huge reflection on how you feel about yourself.

Warped Wheels?

That's never been a concern of mine to the point where I replaced my real wheels with big plastic toys. I think you are mistaking weight for solidness here friendo.

I'm not confusing anything.

I'm not confusing anything. These wheels are tough as nails. And they look a lot better than the wire wheels that I've gotten tired of realigning.

have fun realigning dat

have fun realigning dat composite

what kind of riding do you

what kind of riding do you do with this bike?

I use it mostly for

I use it mostly for occasional riding around Manhattan on greenways and rough pavement. I rarely take it on trails. It's a hard ride but that doesn't really bother me too much. I guess I could describe it as an MTB based cruiser. I had drop bars on it for a while but I took them off. Thought about bullhorns too but I'm not sure. The current setup seems to work great or me.

Not sure what you find so

Not sure what you find so funny. I ride this about once a week and it feels great. The components all work great together. I get the qualities I want from a road bike with the ruggedness of a mountain bike. I can take it anywhere in the city without having to worry about warped wheels. Try putting your own version of this together and you'll see what I mean. All you need is a steel MTB frame and stiff wheels.

It's fairly nimble, not too

It's fairly nimble, not too heavy and it doesn't take that much to pedal because I'm using tires with very tame treads. But like a mTB it's tougher and I can go anywhere I want to in the city no matter how bad the surface as long as it's not too steep a hill. Can't do that with one of those road bikes.

super sick bike, good job

glad your priorities are straight.

This bike,

No it's not a joke, it's a bike. You are the joke.

Look guy. Why would you

Look guy. Why would you spend that much on wheels for a target bike. You suck. Everyone hates you.

Blackout, you fail

Blackout, you fail

Look in the mirror

ATB Hey Blackout, look in the mirror and give yourself a big squeezy hug,you obviously need one.Chill out and enjoy a shared love of cycling, before you spend the rest of your life as a dick.

Lots of reasons actually. I

Lots of reasons actually. I liked the frame because it's stiff and well thought out, particularly the treatment of the bottom tube. I really don't care if it came out of a department store.

Apparently some of you don't like the brand of wheels I chose. Since I'm not part of any of your cycling cliques, I can't really say much about that.

uh...

cool saddle

Thanks! It's actually quite

Thanks! It's actually quite comfortable. I've never found a truly great saddle but the cheaper ones seem to feel better for some reason. I tried a Rido that everyone was talking about but never did get used to it.
