This is my work commuter / errand bike. It gets ridden to work 5days a week and I do most of my shopping with it. This bike has a very very nice ride quality, I am assuming the wide tires help that. Something about it just seems to glide with very little effort.

I have changed a few parts and made some updates for comfort and function. Still love this bike.

tips for restoration

Hey man, awesome awesome job! I'm planing on restoring an old Peugeot for a grocery getter. can you give me any tips? what did you use to get it so damn shinny?!?!

how much did that cost you to restore (rough estimate)?

tips

I will message you the specifics about cleaning and such. This bike did not cost much to put together because I had most of the parts on hand. I probably have about 100 dollars give or take, that includes new tires and tubes, lined cable housing, stainless cables, the price of the bike and new shimano brake levers.

nice rebuild

Good job reworking a oldster into something smart and snappy. "Sensitive restoration," as they say.

Thank you

Thank you.... I wish it was still as clean as the photos!

The mark of a working bike

It means it's being used. By the way, like the period (or faux-period) water-bottle cage -- nice touch.
