Excuse the iPhone picture. I'll put up some nice ones once I get pannier bags and take this old heavy reliable beauty out for a long ride. She's comfy, she's solid, and she cost me next to nothing.

Definitely '83 or older

I had a Trek with the 531 frame, but the 54 cm was way too small. I just picked up a 400 from '83 and I can't wait to take that out for 50 miles.

Awesome!

Adding to vintage Trek cluster.

Age.

Looks older than '84. '83?

Very nice...

I found an '84 500 and I am having a lot of trouble wanting to resale it. These Trek's seem to be so comfortable to ride, it may just be a keeper.

Your bike looks great.

touring..

Dig your bike Jay, Ive been riding a touring bike my self more than the track bike lately. Definitely Classy!

Quite a ride

Welcome to the refined side of cycling. Once you get cyclo-touring in your blood, you'll be looking just for places to go. Beautiful steed, adding to the cluster.

Yeah man I'm pretty excited.

Yeah man I'm pretty excited. I've been wanting to take MUCH longer rides this year and decided to get the right bike for it. Don't get me wrong I love whipping around downtown on a track bike, but those quick little 20 minute sprints through traffic just aren't scratching the itch anymore yah know?

Hey, does this rag smell like chloroform to you?

thats really a fine ride

i've been looking for one for a while, it seems that in my area they usually turn up in this size--61--which just isn't going to work for me!

enjoy, she's a beauty.

Pass one of them my way...

I'm envious... I'd love to find one of these in this good of shape in that size. I can never find em' in 60+ sizes around here. So much for the "everything is bigger in texas" philosophy

Nice ride though :)
