I've had this bike since December of 1998, and it has always been a mish-mosh of parts. I started riding cross with a road bike, and some of the parts from that road bike were transfered over when I decided to get a frame a bit more specific to cyclocross. Always a work in progress to try and match up all the parts, this bike has been one of the best I've owned. It has hit almost every tree at the local trails, winter riding through snow, salt, sand, and the occasional 'air' at the local trails intended for mountain bikes, and raced for a few seasons...it just dpes not want to give in. I love my bike.
