This bike has been a work in progress for more than a year. I originally picked it up for 0 on craigslist in great shape, rode it into the ground, and recently decided to restore it and convert it to fixed-gear. Mostly out of spite for the awful Dia-Compe brakes and Sun tour derailleurs that came with the bike.

zerolite wheels

they are! I have only had them for a few weeks now, but I love them so far. They are light, and cheap. They are ~30 mm deep, so you need a valve extender to fill the tubes.

very cool, i think they look really nice. i thought about getting them for a build that never happened. i think i may still keep and eye on them, now.

ps. nice bike, too. i'm a fan of teh schwinns. my caliente was '87 and had the same style logos. glad to see another old schwinn getting some love!
