I wanted to put my own spin on a commuter bike. It had to be fast, light, comfortable and quirky. I think I have achieved that goal.

unique style. like the clean

unique style. like the clean line. a coaster brake i had on my first bike in the seventies... but now the idea returns in style. good job

Coaster brake

How does the coaster brake work? Do you notice it when trying to get the pedals in a good position for starting out from a dead stop?
Sure keeps the look clean. I have been considering putting a coaster brake 3 or 5 speed hub on my Schwinn path racer project bike.

It works

I like it, but it doesn't provide enough braking power in some situations. I mainly use it on country roads, and so it is fine for that, but I put a front brake on her for riding in the big Seattle to Portland ride. Starting is a bit of an issue, but I just rotate the pedals or just try to stop to where the pedals are ready for takeoff.
