Found it in the shed, hadn't been used for over 20 years. Was gonna convert it to fixed gear but turns out that's a whole lotta work that I don't know how to do. Found this photo on sheldonbrown.com

I have a Super Record from about that same time that I use as a fixed commuter. Not much difference between these bikes without the components. It's a great ride. I hope you get as much out of this as I do out of mine. Oh, and stuck with steel bars. You will regret switching to AL if you do.

that sounds a lot like the Raleigh Record project I undertook, I got sick of putting work into a bottom-of-the-line bike boomer. You may find that the bike isnt worth it, but it does make a terrific beater. Just dont expect to have too much fun riding it ;)
