This is my first fixed gear conversion. The inspiration for the frame colour (purple/blue gradient) came from a hairspray bottle, which ended up working perfectly with the silver elements that remained on the bike (ie seatpost and drop bars). I'm really happy that it did, so that I could keep a few of the original bike components on, not only saving money, but also keeping in line with the idea of giving an old bike a new life. Also my first brakeless bike... which is both exciting and terrifying.

Oh, and the last modification is coming soon- I'm deciding between a 46 and 48 tooth chainring to finish off a white crankset. If you have any feedback about which is a better investment-Origin 8 vs Sugino Messenger- please let me know!

love it

reminds me of a ghost bike. only no-one died. I hope...

48

ftw. thats what im ridin right now with a 17 in the back but im thinkin of bringin it up to 49 just so if i flip my wheel to a 20 cog my ratio will still be sufficiently uneven

I bought a set but haven't built the bike yet... are they rubbish?

Very clean, and itlooks like

Very clean, and itlooks like it glides along. I'd go Sugino Messenger, just because I have tons of miles on them and they worked great.
