This is my touring bike. Front and rear racks and panniers, additional over the front wheel rack, handlebar bag, front and rear lights. Super padded bars. 105 shifters. Took this bike south from chicago under Lake Michigan and up the other side, east across michigan, into Canada. Rode along the north coast of Lake Erie, then north to Niagra Falls rode across into NY. Rode north in NY to the southern coast of Lake Ontario. Rode down into NY through Syracuse, Ithaca, down through PA and into NJ. 1120 miles. We camped at State/ Provincial parks each night.

This great bike was taken apart to create my new/old touring bike, the Pacifica. The frame is being sold off. A good bike, too many little issues.

Sometimes I throw the knobbys on and hit the trails too.

The 5th pic: we hit a minor road problem...

Lovely bike. May I ask why a 52 tooth chainring on a tourer? I have always used a triple, just for the peace of mind it gives you. As the great Frank Berto said, For the few extra grams a triple costs you, the return in peace of mind of having the granny gears to hand is invaluable. or words to that effect.

Any how great to see a touring rig.

Kindest regards

Selle Smp Extra

How are you liking the Selle Smp Extra Saddle? I have one of the strikes and although I was sure it would work out for me I find it to be much too stiff. The Extra, the cheapest version mind you, has piqued my interest. Do tell sir.
