Picked it from a garbage drop. Working on re-painting it. suggestions?

People who friended this bike larsalan

At first I thought you were doing a ghost bike. You should have stripped the parts first if you were going to replace/upgrade them. A bike kitchen/friend could've used those parts. Well, anyways, I guess you could always take the paint off the parts.

I have that bike

I have that same bike! Except mine is taller. Painted it safety yellow. Then red. Does it have that panasonic name plate on the steerer?

My suggestion: sparkles

My first suggestion would be to strip the bike of all its components before you paint it. But seeing as how you've already gone and primed it and its componentry, I suppose I'm a little late. I'd still, before you proceed any further, take all the components off. If you don't have the tools for the job you can a) visit your local bike co-op or shop and have someone help you, or b) at least mask everything.

all that stuff on it wasn't

all that stuff on it wasn't orig. it was already in bad condition..but I just wanted to see how it would look with a white. more like a test. when i begin painting it I will for sure strip it down. I already have the other pieces I'd like to re-equipt it with as well in prime condition.

no, leave it the way it is with the first coat of paint, but put the tires and rims back on and paint it as well....spokes and all!
ride it around for awhile...people will look at you in a different way!............JUST DO IT!
