circa '80 Free Spirit road 10-spd (made in Austria)

Wald w/cork grips, steel no-name stem

stock, Shimano 105

Sun CR-18 32h, Suntour Sprint hub, DT spokes radial laced, Conti 700x28 tire

Sun CR-18 40h, S-A AW hub, DT spokes 3x, Conti 700x28 tire

Shimano Deore XT, steel 42t chainring

Brooks B66, SR Laprade

SR P-466, KMC 1/8 chain

18t, Dia-Compe SC-7 brake levers, Wienmann center-pulls (750 ft, 610 rr), Pletscher rack

Fenders, head and fender badges, and 3-spd stuff from wrecked '54 Dunelt. Paint is a 2-component epoxy, Polynesian Sand.

Looks like no free spirit I’ve ever seen. OK, made in Austria, I get it now. That’s one cool ride there you got! Perhaps if free spirit’s were anything near like this where I'm from they wouldn’t be viewed as such crap in the states…
