Bought the "out-of-the-box" bike in Fall '06 not knowing I'd end up completely stripping it of everything stock and replacing all parts. It's been a fun bike to build up. I got all the parts through Jim at Orange 20 Bikes in Los Angeles, and he cut and threaded the fork to fit the Hatta headset.

Stunning setup you got going. Really good job.

I also bought a stock Bianchi Pista (gang green) then immediately started swapping out components like a mad man (photos soon).

I was wondering if threading the steerer tube was possible and or safe so I can put on a sexy ass Nitto quill, then BAM!...I see your bike! Just wondering how's the steerer holding up to the rigors of the street after 6 months? Does it feel solid from the day the steerer tube got threaded?

yeah, one inch forks are all pretty much the same. I've taken previously tall threaded forks and cut them down to be threadless forks for my(very small) bikes before.
