Pretty much stock. I built this to commute to work in the snow. Freddy hardcore fenders from Planet Bike are a must, Oury grips replaced the stock ones. A half link keeps the chain tension. If anyone can help me pinpoint the year of this bike I would appreciate it.

Looks like a 1992, in 1993 GT started to write "allGTterra" on the lower tube instead of the "outpost" (model name was printed on top tube instead), look at the catalogues http://www.mtb-kataloge.de/Bikekataloge/PDF/GT/1992.pdf

Bike Year

This may be a 1996. They came in green, purple and red. Most of the Outposts that are earlier have that crazy blue/white retro paint. What are your components? Brand?

. It's earlier than a 1993.

It's earlier than a 1993. I've got a '93 Outpost and seen pictures of all the later 90's ones. First pic I've seen of this paint scheme and I'm envious!

Cool paint! Nice build!

Looks like a U-brake on the chainstays, probably makes it an 89-91. If you post up the first 5 digits of the serial number I can probably tell you what month it was made.
