Shimano 105 2009/ Shimano 105 2009

My buddy Robert sent me that free Selle Italia for it.

KMC Z Chain, I got 2 of them for 5 bucks. Black mystery cage pedals, he don't do cleats.

Shimano 105 cassette 8-Speed

Was a singlespeed conversion until I figured out my brother wanted a bike too and this would be way better for him, he's muy grande. This has a 25" seat tube.

Still very cheap build, used gift-certs for a new 105 crank and the wheels, I have 80 bucks into the wheel/tire combo, bike itself was 24 bucks, 105 crank cost me shipping, so I'll put that in this and use stock crank in my personal project bike.

I bought it at a junkyard, perched on top of a bunch of really trashed bikes. It was asking to be bought. It was 24 bones. I took off the reflectors and fenders thinking I'd make it a little lighter and faster, but this is now for my brother, it gets a brand new wheelset, new tires, and other parts I've been collecting since I got it in late summer 2008.

I learned how to pull cranks and pull/install parts on this bike. I picked up a couple parts from 2009 Shimano 105 grouping and put them on.

pretty sweet dude, would look a trillion times better with a decent seatpost...

Much agreed

Been meaning to do that, this was the bike I learned how to take apart, and I didn't have the money to do it right back then. When it's warm enough for him to ride again I'm gonna have it looking better. Thanks for the reminder/compliment. -S
