my first fixed gear converted for relatively cheap. I bought the bike for 8bux at a rummage sale in Michigan and tried to keep a lot of stock parts. i am now using the stock weinmann front brake with an in-line lever. the tires are white Vittoria zaffiro pro's 700x23. its pretty heavy but the conversion stripped off several pounds.

This bike is what made me want to convert mine. Beautiful bicycle.
Did the stock brakes have enough reach for a 700c rim?
