A couple things obvious here: I really like 90's Diamondback mountain bikes and this is missing the cranks. I keep the CODA bb installed on this bike and swap the crank from the Team Issue to this one when I want to ride it. Swapping the cranks is an easy 5 minute job and it's not real easy to find these cranks. Otherwise, this is another quick handling Diamondback that is a joy to ride. This one is a bit more portly than the others - she weighs in at about 24-25lbs. She's still fun to ride though, and a beautiful bike. If you're not familiar with Diamondback's Welded Carbon Fiber bikes, they claim that the steel back end to the frame was welded together, as well as the head tube to top/down tube lugs, then everything was bonded to the 3 carbon fiber main tubes. Or something like that. What they ended up with was a smoother ride than a traditional steel frame at about the same weight. I do like the ride of this, but since it's not as light it hasn't been seeing the action like the others.
I have 3 of these - this one, another just like it that's a size smaller to fit my fiancee, and a 1994 model that I purchased as NOS still in the box from Ebay for 8! It has remained original and I've only used it a few times around town. Look for it listed here soon.
