Brompton Phil Wood Rear Wheel

I would like to check whether can the Phil Wood hub be install with a freewheel. The other question is can the original Phil wood bolt-on nut be use together with the brompton chain tensioner as my understanding is the chain tenisoner just hook onto the rear axle.

awesome bike, but too bad brompton makes it so difficult to swap out parts... if they got on board with a user friendly fixie, loads of people would jump on them...

chain tensioner and no foot

chain tensioner and no foot retention on a fixed gear?
big no-no

nice bike though. makes me want to build up a fixed gear folder for travel

sick bike

The chain tensioner is to keep the chain from slacking and falling off while folded. And those are spd pedals, so you can clip into them with cleats. Fine, fine job here. Big ups!

where does it say it's a fixed gear? could be ss...

the title says "fixie" and

the title says "fixie" and it has a phil wood track hub.

Silly question...

I’m going to ask a silly question, so don’t take it wrong, OK?

Doesn’t that seat feel like riding a thong? Not that I would know mind you. I have just suffered from seat induced numbness for years now without finding the right seat. I’d say that one isn’t for me…

Anyways, I really DO like your bike, something about those full size wheels being so small and all, just too cool…!

Even though it looks really uncomfortable, Brooks Swallow is surprisingly on the comfortable side. Since this B17 is cropped to look like a Swallow, it should have a similar ride. The fact with the leather is, it gets more and more comfortable after some use, takes the shape of the rider's butt.

Brooks Swallow

+1 on the Brooks Swallow. Mine has only gotten better the more I ride it. BTW. This has to be the most kick-ass Brompton I've even seen in pictures or real life. The bars/saddle combo look sick. What's the ride like? I always assumed it would be like riding one of those razors.
