tires

you're aware that 48/16 has only one skid patch, correct?
therefore everytime you skid (which it seems like you do if 'putting on a brake would save tires')
48/17 has at least 8 or something, I don't remember exactly.
and 49/17 has a lot.
and 49/16 at least has more than 1.

just thought that'd be some useful information for your tubulars, if you didn't already know.

i know and your wrong

the gearing changes alot on this bike and 17 cog will have 17 skid patches on any front chainring that isnt divisble by 17 aka 34 or 51 tooth front, but thanks for the sugestion and a 48x16 has 3 skid patches

ps

if your an ambidextrous skidere it also doubles the amount of skid patches but i found if you decide not to run a brake skip stops are the kindest on tires

what

what did you use to strip? jasco?

aircraft stripper

its called aircraft stripper its a generic they sll at my hardware store and paper towels

save your money and just

save your money and just spray paint your aerospoke. if done right, it can turn out really nice. this is spray painted.

very nice!

and yea true! i primed and painted mine too

i forgot to add

how can it be "done right" when the rims aren't even done?

uh

there's nothing "done right" about a road brake w/ a hood on track bars...sorry.

I like ridin in the hoods

Sure you don't get that ultra clean, minimalist look with brake levers but you do get another hand position for those extended rides. If you think one lever is bad...I have 2 and the right one doesn't even do anything.

on the real
