    Calfee has this great great program where you can buy bamboo bikes MADE by authorized people in 3rd world countries that have been trained, and the proceeds go towards shipping components to them so they can make their own utility bikes. its called bamboosero

    Would be fun to try and piece one of these together, but I'm sure anything I'd build would be a death trap

    I think I remember something about hemp fiber bikes aswell....maybe I am wrong.....I might have a bad short term memory...hahahahaha

    Yeah, there's also bamboo fiber, which is great stuff. A high modulus fiber in a polymer matrix is a really good way to make stuff.
