I picked up a vintage Kestrel 4000 and I am having a hard time finding some authenticity information on it. Normally I see them in white only, but mine happens to be blue. There are stickers for Campagnolo, Selle Italia, and Mavic. Everything else seems to be standard. It has a matching blue EMS fork, Brent Trimble's signature and "Advanced Composite" on the top tube, "Kestrel" on the down tube, and "4000" on the seat tube. There is also a Kestrel sticker with a number on the bottom, but contacting the company that currently owns the Kestrel name got me no where because it is before they owned them. Any thoughts or information would be greatly appreciated. I can't link a picture right now, but will update this thread soon.

All the Kestrel 4000 I have seen were white, and originally with steel fork, not EMS fork.
Are the decals under the clear coat of paint?
