a mid '90s gazelle i just had restored with the mid '70s corporate theme: pearlescent white with blue panels. just got these pics of the almost finished restoration. before i started, when i would close my eyes and envision the end-product, this is exactly what i had in mind. my guy says it'll ship out wednesday. i like he combo of old-school finish with sorta-modern-era touches on the frame (aero cable routing, straight-blade fork, embossed gazelle logos, etc)

    more pics here: https://velospace.org/node/34888

needless to say, i'm chuffed to bits!

haha, you missed a few spots with the blur brush in photoshop.

it looks WAY better than the original though, good choices.

I do feel like I'm looking at one of those buried 3D images when I look in the grass.

that's a beautiful frame btw. good restoration job. I'm about to embark on my own.

Cobaltos. Were they that way when you bought them, or did you have to scrounge up the blue-bits yerself?

beautiful bike! love the paint job...
not digging the bars though... maybe something more traditionally curved? but hey, bars are about your comfort, not what i think looks good...
