just sold my first bike, time to upgrade. I can build a visp with some b43s for a little under $700.
are there any complete bikes in the market though that would rival this for around $700? -

For $700, you could get anything you wanted at bikesdirect (maybe even two), with leftover $$ for b43s. Or you could get a VERY nice IRO setup. I think you could do a lot better than a VISP, but that's just me. -

you can get complete masi's on ebay for under 700 and theyre really nice bikes. the components will last a few years, but youll prolly wanna upgrade over time anyway -

no, no no
Besides that being a leader, look at the dropouts. -

ya i did notice them. as much as the motobecane is a damn slick bike
i've always wanted a track frame all blacked out, everything.
sad to say, i think my needs for aesthetics overcome my needs for performance. I do know the visp frame isnt bad (it's overbuilt as hell), and a 20lbs isnt heavy, im not going to the velodrome or anything. -

Your not the only one, believe me. Kids and their minimalism these days :P
Just promise me you'll get a light, and not one of the tiny knog ones either -

I admire your decision. Strictly speaking, it's heavy for a single-speed, but whatever. You'll just get sexier legs in the process. -

Not sure how close you need to get to $700. The Motobecane seems like a really awesome deal, i've seen Dura Ace cranks alone priced at almost half the entire bike. -

There is no good Aluminum Leader. peroid.
The Motobocane Team Track is the same frame as the Fuji Track Pro. Just buy that and paint it or get it powdercoated.
Fuckin eh. -
