Thinking about getting these. Anyone have any input? Should I just stick with cheapo Kendas or will these really hold up and last a lot longer? My riding is urban fixed gear with a little bit of skidding/skipping, not much. -

I have the 28c version and I'm digging them. I've been riding them since may and and I'm sure they'll still be good when next spring rolls around (I don't skid a ton). Plenty of rubber to wear down, good traction (even in rain), and they look pretty cool. I'd buy another set. They make a crazy ass sound when you first start skidding because of the little bumps all over the tire, but that goes away fairly quickly. -

I looked at those but didn't bite. They didn't look like they would be so good in the rain. The tire material looked slick to me. They do hold up well a friend has them on his pake and loves them. He dosn't ride in the rain very much. (EDIT) dam they are a bit expensive at $49 each. -

Yeah I was curious as well, but at $49 I could have a Gatorskin, Randonneur X 2, or some kinda Schwalbe; so I haven't been willing to take the chance. -

Thanks for the input. I'll do a review or something if I end up getting them. I've had gatorskins on my road bike and I've not been happy with their wear. I'm looking for something harder, I don't really need tons of traction since i spin out at like 24mph. Fyxations look hard which is exactly why I was considering them. -

they work more than well enough in the rain. i will say i'm not keen on their marketing (but thats how you sell shit right?). they get decent reviews from most people i've talked to who ACTUALLY HAVE USED THEM (key words), and they get slammed by most of the hipster-color-tire-"fixie"-hating crowd. if you are willing to drop the 90 bucks for a set i don't think you'll be let down. some relevant literature :
