Can anyone give me some info on this builder?
  1.
That's so funny, I was reading about Simonetti a few days ago. The guy (Gian Simonetti) worked for Masi in California along with Mike Howard, both of whom later moved to Medici, which then folded and the two began making Simonetti branded frames. They're sometimes called Simo Cycles. Anyway, Howard was imprisoned for tax evasion or something cutting hair(!!?) and the company fell apart. Simonetti didn't actually build, as far as I know, but Howard was a well regarded builder before his arrest. They're all US made and certainly of quality, as far as I know/have seen (only one in person).

No, no. It would be an awesome inside joke that like fifty people in the world would get. You should get a sticker of scissors and a sticker of a wig or hair or something, then put them next to each other.

maybe the greatest thing i've ever read.*

*In hindsight, certainly the dude had some issues and i feel bad for the women involved. I often find my self glad i was born a male, if for no other reason than the amount of bullshit harassment that all women deal with.

i told my girlfriend about the hair bandit and how i was jokingly considering buying a frameset he made by hand and how i thought it would be hilarious to ride it around with like, a pony tail from a wig attached to the saddle....and she was NOT amused. i think my sense of humor is a bit on the sick side.

although it did look like a nice track frame. even had a chris king headset oooOOooo

Oh come now, it's not as though she was one of Mike's victims. He clearly felt that long hair was for real women like Dee Snyder.
