Considering that the date in the URL says 2007, I'd imagine they'll stay up there a long time. At those prices, I'll bet he's never sold a set of hubs at all.

    They are quite pretty, though.

Peripheral issue: I always thought that sheriff's badges (a county officer) were six-pointed stars, while US marshal's badges (a federal officer) were five-pointed. Is that a real thing, or is that just childhood memories of Gunsmoke and Wild Wild West?
  1.
Google has confirmed that sheriffs do indeed have a 6 pointed star and that federal marshals have 5 points.

odd... eaglerock usually has no idea what he's talking about ;)

All it takes is one art school student with a trust fund.

Aesthetically pleasing as those certainly are, they're about the worst possible design of a hub I've ever seen in terms of functionality. I see exactly one spoke hole per flange that's structurally supported.
  3.
I've seen more than a few of them broken or cracked -- yet still being sold -- on eBay. They are not survivors.

They are awesome, but a "bit" overpriced.
I'm sure someone will buy it just to put it into a glass case.
There are people who build bikes to just hang on a wall.

They're really not as fragile as people would assume.
I've never had a problem with my sets,
but then again. I don't go all aggro riding.
