the other day i thought it would be interesting to count all the bikes in our house to see how many we had and i ended up finding 15 bikes! (only 5 are mine, and i'm in a family of 5). just thought it would be an interesting thread to see how many bikes other people are holding on to.

Well, as I've just sold 2 (and bought 1), I'm down to 12

    85 Colnago International -road
    86 Bridgestone T700 - touring
    88 Cannondale SR700 - criterium
    88 Cannondale ST700 - touring
    97 Cannondale Silk Road CAAD3 - road
    85 BH Vento - road
86 Schwinn High Sierra - MTB
    89 Schwinn Traveler - trainer
    75 C. Itoh Super Light - nostalgia
    59 JC Higgins - nostalgia
    92 Specialized CrossRoads - hybrid (daughter's)
    89 Schwinn Predator - BMX - (daughter's)

    Plus one Cannondale MTB frame

Until a few weeks ago when I bought the Silk Road, the two that got the most miles were the SR700 and the Bridgestone. That'll shift now with the newer bike. I'm not yet sold on STI (brifters) and keep reaching for the downtube which doesn't work too well without shifters there.

I live in a college house... currently we have maybe 10 bikes around the house (for the 8 living there). Only three are mine; and of that three one is scheduled to be sold.
    80's Centurion Sport 10 Conversion
    70's Fuji Sport
90's Motiv MTB (to be sold)
    90's Schwinn Hybrid
    Newer KHS roadie
    90's Raleigh Grand Teton
and then there's the MTB hidden under our porch with the 'found' vintage singlespeed cruiser that appeared one day, another conversion in the garage, and another ugly hybrid that I lean my bikes on in the garage.

I used to have something a little over twenty (~17 of which were mine), but they were mostly total crap.

After a major purge I'm down to around ten or eleven in the house, but to be fair, I'm living with seven other people now.
