General: felt brougham crankset removal?

i want to remove the stock crankset on my felt brougham but after i take the screws out the cranks are still sealed on the bottom bracket spindles and won't come off. do i need a special tool to remove the crank arms or is there some other process i'm supposed to be using? any info would be appreciated.
