the iro, and kilo seem cheap to you? when you are asking about making a conversion? and it will be your first fixed gear? okay, buy a frame that is in your price range. And then put shit parts on it? And just to clarify this is going to be your first bike? What the fuck.... -

i started with my kilo over summer. I scrapped up all the money i could for it.
I learned a whole lot about bikes before i got it, and i don't regret my decision at all.
Nothing wore out or broke before i upgraded it.
I got new wheels, sugino 75 bb,cranks,zen racing c/r.
new pedals and clips, and i am very very happy with all my choices.
Eventually of course i'll save up again for a new frame. but its such a good starter bike
oh shit new bars and stem too.
