3RENSHO Keirin Cluster Made by: niXon bros.
Description: "Lugged steel masterpieces by eccentric builder Yoshi Konno (Yoshi Miyakawa). A year after establishing Cherubim Cycle in Tokyo, Konno opened the CYCLONE shop in Chiba circa 1974. Cyclone was keirin certified the following year. The name 'San Rensho' (3 Victories) commemorates the feat of a rider winning 3 consecutive race series using Cyclone frames. Yoshi Konno learned his craft taking apart Cinelli frames built in the 60's. He would go on to design his own proprietary fittings and run a busy factory with 6 apprentices, including Makino and Yamaguchi. He also liked to drink and drive and was paralyzed in a car accident which took several lives. His apprentices ran the factory for several years afterwards until they opened their own shops. The racer most associated with the 3RENSHO name is 'The Monster' Masamitsu Takizawa who dethroned legendary Koichi Nakano and recently retired from racing."
