Don't know much about bikes yet. I bought this bike at a thrift store, and so don't know the previous owner or what they changed about it. I figured out that it was from 1985, and probably is the SR900. There were no markings except for the logo on the front, and a partially worn off "cannondale" and Pat Pend on __, and the serial number. Got the information from vintagecannondale.com. Looking at the pictures of the catalog, and knowledge of the recalled forks from 1985, I determined that it had to be a replacement fork because it was different than the one in the catalog

Just using it to kick around town, and a little rec riding (don't have shoes yet- next purchase...along with new not crappy pedals :)
Like I said, don't know too much about it so sorry if some of the info is wrong. I did the best I could! Feel free to comment with any information, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Edit: took some better pictures after a light cleaning. Also, this bike doesn't really fit me (seat all the way down, as you can see) so if anyone is interested, I'd be willing to trade for something smaller (49-50cm). TUCSON. Just thought I'd mention.

good find for that price,

good find for that price, dura ace is top notch. Cannondales are pretty good (i used to love them but I'm a klein fan now so I'm not allowed ;) )

also I remember that these used to be kitted with a fork like that, a tange or sakae (i forget) CrMo fork out of the factory!

hope you still enjoy it or have found something better suited for you!

i'm a newbie here

let's be friends!

Yeah, that's a pretty hot bike.

You might find that the saddle's tilted a little too far back, which might be why you've lowered it that far.

You talk about trading, but where are you? And how big is the frame?

thanks.

Thanks, I'm in Tucson. I think its around a 52. I'm only 5'6" so, yeah... I don't find it uncomfortable, though.
