RIH is an abbreviation for Radsport International Hamedl and not to mistake with the famous dutch brand, named after a conceived horse by Karl May.
The owner of the fancy little racecycle shop in the second district of Vienna - Franz Hamedl - was not just the only local agent of Campagnolo, he was also the founder of the "Österreichrundfahrt" and manufactured these special race frames for this major cyclesport event out of Reynolds-steel and Pinarello-lugs and assembled it with Campa Super Record parts. Nowadays Campagnolo-equipped relabled Bassos are sold in the same little shop by the master's son.
