I picked up this bike at a bike garage sale for 0 and it has been the best purchase I have made to date in my life. I have done nothing to it except change the pedals (I was sad to part with the gold primo platforms!)and saddle and swapped the mountain bike tyres for Specialized Hemispheres. Gears shmears.

Looks good

Miyatas are great bikes. Mine is converted to touring mode. When it warms up I am going to have to honor her with a new paint job. I am new to Velo and don't know how to do multiple posts and descriptions. I currently have my SS Schwinn posted and described but want to get the Miyata posted.

Thanks! Sorry, can't say I

Thanks! Sorry, can't say I know how either. Hope you managed to work it out.

sweeeet

wow! i have an almost identical setup- miyata trail runner in teal. . . i had a little chainslap onto the rear U-brake when was running 32X16, so i switched the gearing to 44X16, since its my lock-up/city cruiser anyway. yours looks great!

small world

Thanks dude. Wow small world! Yes, I get a bit of chainslap too but am tolerating it at the moment as I still take it off-road every now and then. Makes you realise why front shocks were invented but is still great fun...BTW, at risk of making this sound like a mutual admiration society, your bike looks sweet too!
