People who friended this bike serfcity, o_O

awesome

this is one of my fav bikes.
gimme gimme.

Wow, thanks.

Wow, thanks.

Noice!

I just don't get tired of bikes like this. Road bike/flat bar/rear d. (non-fixed gear/single speed conversion) It takes a slow handling road machine and turns it into a Ferrari. People go on and on about 'fixies' being the true messenger bike. Dig around a little, people. More messengers have ridden this config than any other build in history...if messengering is what you're into. However, there is more to bicycle culture than track bikes and living on crumbs. HAHAHAHAHA!!!

you ever miss the other

you ever miss the other front chainring? i ride a bike with the same setup fairly often, but I used to have a bike a long time ago that only had one front chainring, and i seem to remember the chain falling off once or twice when I'd hit a good bump.

re: chain rings

In my experience chain drops were far more common on my double and triple setups. I have never dropped this chain, nor did I drop it on my previous road 1x9 setup.

However I experienced frequent drops when switching front gears aggressively on previous road bikes. My mountain 1x9 has a bash guard and a jumpstop to prevent such incidents on the trail, but I've never felt those were necessary on road bikes.

I really don't like multi gear up front and I try to keep my shifts on the rear to a minimum. It makes me pedal harder.

Also, I do try to not go over too many bumps.
