1981 Univega Gran Premio, Tange Champion DB

420mm Nitto B-115's / 100mm Nitto Stem

Univega / Tange Falcon

Shimano 105 / Wolber Alpine

Shimano 105, 6sp / Wolber Alpine

Shimano 600 / Shimano 600 Ultegra

Selle Italia Turbo / Shimano 600 Ultegra 26.8

Shimano 600 Ultegra / Campy Straps / VG

Shimano 13-15-17-19-21-24

Transferred most components to it from my Ironman, which is sitting naked in a big box in Edinburg, Texas. Its geometry is tighter than the Ironman's, which gives it a much more responsive but somewhat harsher ride. It's been sitting in another, bigger box, along with its wheels in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, México. I recently moved to Guadalajara and unfortunately did not bring it with me on the bus. How I miss it! I wish I had brought it! :/ Good thing is it gives me an excuse to find a nice track frame, build it up from scratch, and start riding in the local velodrome (and on the streetz of course). :D

More info:

· Serial # I773968
· Suntour dropouts, right stamped GS
· Skinwalls are Panaracer Tecnova II's, 25c.
· I'm using Shimano 105 (hard to find, expensive) long-reach brakes, and levers. These are from the 1987 group, which featured what in my honest opinion are the nicest Shimano levers ever (!). Tape is Ambrosio Bike Ribbon in Ditital Black.
· The pictures were taken with an old Canon AE-1, outside my father's place in Reynosa, Tam., México.
