Raleigh Technium 450

Does anyone know what year this frame is? Is there any weird sizing on parts? Any helpful hints? I have some ideas I just want to see if anyone knows if there will be problems turning this into a fixed? payed for it thought it would be cool, aluminum frame. Thanks

***New Question-What is the best paint stripper to use on this bike since its part aluminum part steel?
Thanks.

the

one i had was an 1988 if im not wrong and it came in red.
super nice light frame but it was way too small, a 47cm.. i swiped the bb, the cranks and the stem and put them on my schwinn.
check it out!

it

is actually aluminum bonded to steel...a crazy lugged hybrid using high-tech glue instead of welding (since you cant weld aluminum to steel). 1 inch headset and standard bottombracket

so i have a technium 460,

so i have a technium 460, circa 1990. probably the same... 68mm english threading, 1" headtube... measure your rear dropouts, as theyre most likely 126mm, in which case you'll need to add spacers to your rear hub. other than that, i appreciate how light the aluminum frame is, especially for a first time fixed as i am.

Thanks to both of you who

Thanks to both of you who answered the questions.

Mine was an 1988.

Mine was an 1988 and looked identical. If I remember correcly, you put the 1st and 5th number in the serial number together to get the year. I'm jealous, I sold mine because it was too tall. It had a very fast light weight feel when riding.
