1995 Gary Fisher Montare

I bought this new in 1995 after selling my mid to late 1980s Jamis and my '84 KX-80. As a fairly strong roadie, I decided I wanted to do the mountain bike thing too, and I needed one anyway since all the roads in our town were unpaved. I did one 6 mile race and decided I would rather go long and fast rather than slow and sore. I used it for commuting to my first job and also my first girlfriend in the next town over... I've recently knocked the dust off it and found out there's 20 miles of state park mtb trails 4 miles from my house. Its a bit rough w/ a rigid frame... I really need to at least get a fork for it, which what I had planned to do 12 years ago. Sorry for the indoor pic - it's raining & gloomy out. back when I bought it I got some red anodized q-stix and matching derailleur cogs.
