Early '90s Burley Duet

Captain: 44 cm Nitto Noodle, Stoker: 47 cm Profile stoker

1" threaded, with (pink) Chris King Gripnut

Phil Wood laced to 700c 48 hole Velocity Dyad with DT swiss DB spokes.

140 mm Phil Wood laced to 700c 48 hole Velocity Dyad with DT swiss DB spokes. Hub threaded for Arai drum brake.

Original Sakae crankset and original Burley weird cartridge bearing BB!

Captain: Brooks Team Pro, Stoker: Brooks Flyer Special. Ugly-but-functional Kalloy seatposts and beautiful Salsa Liplock clamps.

Captain: Crank Bros. Candy SL, Stoker: Time. Drive chain: Wipperman 9 sp, Synch chain: something 3/32" we had in the shop.

9 speed Dura-Ace barcons shift 52/42/28 up front and 11-34 in the back.

This bike was rebuilt and updated by me and the stoker. The original Suntour XCE front derailleur shifts beautifully on these non-ramped 110/74 rings. Rear derailleur updated to XT to handle the capacity of 11-34. Brakes are Paul Neo-Retros and levers are Tektros. Silver stoker stem is one of Santana's forgings to the best of my knowledge. Stoker has a nice wireless VDO C3 computer running off the front wheel. Blue cages came with the bike. Rear rack is a Tubus. Fenders are SKS. Only oddball thing about this lovely cycle is the 26.6 mm seatpost!
