indeed. I rode a 2006 Marin San Marino (aluminum frame/carbon fork) before this. It was fast but wasn't as comfortable as this Scapin.

steel is more comfortable for real, i'm just rebuilding my old '95 mtb - more comfy and faster over bumps although is heavier than my alu bike

and it doesn't deform and 'die' after several years
