Frame was stripped to chrome, leaving lugs the original blue metal flake. This is a great affordable frame made during a time in the 80s when Raleigh apparently (or according to what I could dig up on the internet, so don't quote me) licensed it's name to Huffy who had the frame manufactured in Taiwan - the head badge says "Raleigh - Cycle Company of America." The Deep V's ride like butter.

brake

who makes that brake lever?

Georgeous

Fantastic job on the bike ... I really like how you only covered the upper portion of the bars. Brooks leather tape?
Very clean and effective ... congrats

Lurvely

I'm planning on doing a lugged stainless (3 main tubes) frame and had been thinking of exactly this paint scheme for the lugs. Its so pretty, it nice to see in advance.

Very Nice......

This is gorgeous!

Fabulous

Absolutely beautiful. Ummm... are you sure you don't want to put bar plugs in ? I had a friend who didn't use them and punched a really cute hole into his thigh when he came off his bike.

Point Taken

Thanks for the advice. Road rash is bad enough - no need to make it worse by punching baby scallops out of my thigh meat. Plugs have been inserted.

British Charmer

Clean bike. i love how you've stripped her, leaving only a little color on the lugs. I'm usually not a Raleigh fan but this brit, like Hugh Grant, is too charming not to love.
