Brakes are IRD Dual Banger mechanical discs with 160mm rotors. They work quite well with the Paul Shorty levers (also very very comfy). Rear derailleur is an older M952 XTR, matched with a new SL-M970 XTR shifter.
This bike is insanely fun, comfortable, and surprisingly nimble, even with the Continental Vertical 2.3's.
