Love your primato!

Hi. I really like your Neo Primato. And I second the comment on the courage fitting Shimano gear. I have both a campy and a shimano equipped bike and although I love them both, I really enjoy the smooth shifting of shimano gear.

Primato

Absolutely great winter foto and beautiful bike - I like the KASS colours, reminds me to early Masi Gran Crit, which was done for KASS originally. (My Primato is red, gruppo Dura Ace all the way through). It is very rare to see a classic bike like this with Shimano - compliments for your courage. (Shimano compact drive works wonderful - have it on my lugged Battaglin). Only I don't like STI's on lugged bikes - too mighty for the fragile frame. I use down tube shifters on the Battaglin and bar end shifters on the De Rosa - works perfect! And I wonder about your a-head stem. Nothing against Ritchey's 4-Axis - beautiful piece, but wouldn't you have preferred a quill stem?
P.S. Warning: Be sure - next time I see your bike in the streets I will steel your De Rosa bottle!!!

Thanks for the complements!

The fork on this bike is Not threaded, so I'm not so sure how I would be able to run a quill styled stem. I've never been a big fan of Campy dating back to my racing days in the mid to late 80's. I actually have a second De Rosa clear water bottle, so feel free to take mine if you eversee my bike out on the street ;-))
