2007 LeMond Poprad 55cm (c-c)

3T Rotundo Pro, ARX Pro stem

Bontrager Switchblade Carbon, Chris King

Zipp 303 tubular, Chris King ISO disc hub, Sapim Laser spokes, Schwalbe Stelvio tubular

135mm spaced ISO disc hubs - rear stays are stretched to accomodate the 5mm increase

Stronglight Pulsion with integrated titanium spindle. 44T FSA ring

San Marco Regal Ti with copper rivets, Miche Supertype

Crank Brothers Eggbeater, SRAM hollow link superlight

XTR Ti 11-34t cassette, XTR shadow carbon RD, Dura Ace downtube shifter. N-gear chain stop. (1 x 9 drivetrain)

I value simplicity in the drivetrain. The idea was to build a bike like a single speed, with the versatility of gears. The 44t combined with the wide range cassette yields the same range of a compact double and a 12-25t cassette over 9 gears. I used a downtube shifter because I hate cockpit clutter plus I am weird like that.

Zipp tubular wheels are fantastic and the King hubs sound like angry bees.

The last picture is me finishing the notorious De Ronde van Oeste Portlandia, a hilly 45-mile season icebreaker for Portland bike nuts.

Greg, very nice. My last bike had downtube shifters... I miss them. The precision and the feel of the shift is second to none. Good work.
