chose the 40 tooth over the 52 tooth biopace chain ring and the 15 tooth fixed cog

didn't do jack with the paint... i'm just too lazy to sand, paint, repeat. so, i'm writing quotes on the frame with a paint pen as they come to mind. left the SIS shifters on the down tube, just for lack of something better to dress the shift studs with and it's a fun noise maker CLICK-CLICK! my first ride on a fixed-gear. it is quite fun to learn new techniques involved. again, thanx to Rodney for scavenging the bike (see I'm Stealing the Towels for the before pictures) and Tim, Mimi & Andy at Yellow Jersey for advice, wisdom, lockring spanners, et cetera.

thx for the comments. i was kinda worried about the biopace thing too. however, the "variable chain tension" it creates hasn't been a problem (but, yet another reason to rock/run a front brake).
